The Gabriel Construct

Interior City by The Gabriel Construct Buckle up!

We’re about to experience a journey through sound unlike any other; a collection of influences including (but not limited to) progressive rock, 20th century classical music, extreme metal, drum-n-bass, jazz, ’90s grunge, space rock, and ’80s pop…

Welcome to Interior City.

 …in a society which respects
nothing, every individual learns that they are not worthy of respect.

Like a message coming from another realm of existence, The Gabriel Construct navigates the journey to regain our self-respect.

This is an awakening. The unplugging from the matrix, if you will.

Elements of classical, avant-garde, and operatic rock force our senses to break free from a mental programming designed to suppress our full potential.

Eerie, distorted piano progressions, dissonance, layered harmonic vocals, and a swarm of complex rhythms create a wall of sound that encompasses us like a single-person space craft about to blast us back home.

Slowly waking up from a bad dream, we begin to realize the world is different. We work toward becoming one with our Arrival In A Distant Land…obviously unsure about our feelings related to this surprise.

As our inner Ranting Prophet begins destroying our Fear of Humanity, we realize our previous existence was nothing but a nightmare. As our vision clears, our heads continue pounding as we recover from the hangover.

Once My Alien Father re-establishes communication, we Retreat Underground to find our lost brethren among the Subway Dwellers. Still disoriented but left with no choice, we venture on.

As we begin engaging with the new world that surrounds us our senses adapt to an overwhelming feeling of enlightenment as we continue down Defense Highway searching for an Inner Sanctum.

We realize that will be impossible to find while Languishing in the Lower Chakras so quickly becoming aware of our self-generated symptoms of imbalance we search for a solution. This awareness allows us to work toward Curing Somatization.

The Gabriel Construct is the solo rock project of Gabriel Lucas Riccio, a vocalist, composer and multi-instrumentalist from Salisbury, MD. Interior City is his debut album [I would say masterpiece].

Gabriel wanted “to create a work which encourages people to live with respect and compassion, both for the world around them and for themselves. In an increasingly globalized world, it is more important than ever to recognize how our actions and lifestyles affect others.”  With ‘Interior City’, he has musically documented his personal journey towards manifesting that compassion.
