Now Is The Right Time For One Way State

One Way State

If you have been waiting for The Right Time you can stop waiting because it’s right here! Right now is the right time to pick up Canadian rockers One Way State’s sophomore effort The Right Time.

One Way State is a four piece alt-rock/pop rock band from Edmonton, Canada.

Their blend of catchy guitar riffs and emo-ish lyrics with tight harmonies sprinkled on top, sets the foundation for the album. It has also garnered them high praise in various reviews and interviews. (including this one 😉 )

Immediately you are drawn in from the opening riff in Riot (Midnight War). Crisp clean and on point.

After that, you are taken back to a time when bands like Yellowcard and Jimmy Eat world were starting to permeate the airwaves.

Don’t let the opening fool you though. One Way State is not a one trick pony. They slow it down a little for Unsaid and the title track The Right Time. They do this well as they have mastered the laid back feel of bands like Third Eye Blind.

The guys pick it right back up with The Chase, another energy packed track before closing out with Cycle and Rust.

Overall The Right Time is a solid collection of songs that leaves us hoping these guys find the right time to tour near this area soon.
