Mid-TN Music Weekly Wrap-Up

by Joshua (J.Smo) Smotherman May 29, 2011 3:36 pm

Grand Theft Auto 4

Hope you weren’t anticipating any more Glee references this week…

I haven’t had much sleep this weekend so I’m jumping right into it.

…its called parenting.  I only wish I were partying 😉

This week on Middle Tennessee Music

  • Song(s) of the Week: An Epic Battle of Musical Proportions

Too many submissions to count, too much quality to control, and an all day battle that led to nowhere but a broken lightsaber; left us with no choice but to include 2 songs this week.  Say hello to Details Details and Streetlight Allstars.

  • 3 Brothers Deli & Brewhouse

Great food, great beer, great music.  Visit 3brothersfamily.com to find out who’s going to be rockin’ out the deli next.

  • Streetlight Allstars

Trickin’s still trickin’, it don’t matter if you got it.  This is where the sidewalk ends…

  • Details Details

There’s just something about this electro-pop we just can’t resist.

  • Bold As Love

Only love can be this bold…and don’t forget to ask for that extra shot of psychedelic to make the trip even bolder.

  • Heartbeater

Held at gunpoint by one of our own staff, the frequencies of Heartbeater were forced down upon our souls for an entire workday.  Needless to say, we thoroughly enjoyed the experience.  But hopefully next time Greg won’t feel compelled to partake in gun play.  Else we might have to revoke his pass to play GTA4.

  • Kenny Freeman

This is some jammin’ blues that will definitely rock your face off…and dude can sing.

  • Last week’s wrap-up

I think this one is self explanatory.

As always, feel free to send us links to your favorite bands.  You can use our Contact Form, e-mail (midtnmusic@gmail.com) , post on our Facebook wall, or hit us up on Twitter.

Bands, musicians, songwriters… E-mail us your Press Packs (bio, photos, mp3s, videos, links) for a chance to be featured on this site.

We listen to at least 1 song from every band that is suggested so stop being shy and holla!
