And now we would like to present you our interview with 17 Stories.

You can catch them performing at Music Tree Fest on Saturday June 2, 2012 at the Rotary Amphitheater. Doors open at Noon.

Hometown: Kings Mountain, NC
Primary Genre: Rock/Pop
Follow: @17Storiesband
Members/Instruments: Lance Jones (Lead Vocal and Guitar), Adam Bladwin (Lead Guitar), Daniel Hoggant (Bass), Frankie Daina (Drums)

How long have you been playing?

I, Lance Jones, have been playing and writing music since I was sixteen years old. When other kids wanted to play video games, I wanted to write music.

How did you get together?

I started posting lots of ads on Craigslist until I found a group of guys that I thought was a good fit.

What do you do for fun? You know…besides music?

I love to watch football, hang out with friends nothing to crazy:)

How’s the music scene in your home town?

Not much of a scene but most people there play Country or Metal.

What’s on your personal playlist this week?

U2, Bush, Prince, Seether, Lukas Rossi

Can you pin-point the moment you knew you wanted to be a performing musician?

I remember hearing the band Live on the radio, the song was Lightning Crashes. There was something about that song that got me wanting to hear more Rock music and it gave me the passion to want to create my own music.

What are your goals? How far would you like to go? What is the next big hurdle?

I would say my goals are to perform my music in front of my fans and have my music played on the radio for the masses to enjoy. As for the question, how far would you like to go? I would say I’m not going to limit myself because I’m never satisfied. My next big hurdle would be quitting my job to tour.

Describe one of your most memorable music moments.

My band and I was playing a show and at the end of the show the crowd started chanting for us to play a encore. I have to say that was a great feeling and of course we rocked it:)

What song makes you dance when you’re cleaning house?

well……..I don’t clean house much but i would say Tonight by Seether.

Tell us about your musical influences.

Everything from U2, Pearl Jam, Creed, Alice n Chains, Ozzy, Foo Fighters, etc..

Where would you like to build a vacation home?

Maybe on a nice beach somewhere:)

How did you hear about Music Tree Fest?

Craigslist.

How do you feel about being a part of the Music Tree Festival?

Very excited!!!!!

Do you have plans for Bonnaroo?

Not Yet

Is there anything else you want to say?

I really try my best to write songs that reflect things that I have experienced in my life but at the same time I try to write songs in a way that the masses can connect to the songs.
