Domino Grey is a master storyteller through sound.
His new album Butterfly Affect: Facial Recognition Technology is a hypnotizing journey through soundscape’s influenced by the genres of dance, hip-hop, and deep house music.
If you check out our interview, you will notice that Domino is a very busy man doing many things under many aliases including Fallout Shelter, Dynamics Plus, and Mark of the Griffin.
Mark of the Griffin is a web series and comic book about a regular guy who turns into a vigilante like superhero. He turns out to be not so super. Of course, Domino Grey provides the soundtracks to the visuals. I recommend checking out the series.
The concept behind Butterfly Affect is based on the metamorphosis of a caterpillar into a butterfly in parallel to a young girl discovering her face in the mirrored responses of a woman.
Primal Things and the Beating of Wings
I’ve been listening to this album for a few days now and it is a beautiful work of art. One might even be inclined to use this as a tool for meditation.
Even if you are not a huge fan of electronic or dance music, I think you will be able to appreciate this album. There is a certain depth to Domino’s production I am unable to put my finger on but it is safe to consider me a fan.
You can connect with Domino Grey on Soundcloud or Facebook.
You can grab his album Butterfly Affect: Facial Recognition Technology from iTunes and other fine digital retailers.
