Steven Blane Band Delivers Sonic Goodness and Masterful Songwriting on The Shed Sessions

Steven Blane-The Shed Sessions

Following up his Nashville recorded album (I Confess), Steven Blane headed down to Lake Worth, Florida for The Shed Sessions. As you can assume by the name, Blane’s newest project was recorded in a shed in the Sunshine State.

Embracing his acoustic guitar and putting his masterful song crafting abilities on display, Steven Blane delivers an Americana/Folk sound with plenty of nuances including hints of pop, 1950s rock n roll vibes, and a soulful, powerful voice that is guaranteed to grab your attention as Steven starts to sing.

After listening through The Shed Sessions several times, I am here to tell you that this is an excellent, unique and refreshing record for the Americana/Folk category. Over his many years as a musician, songwriter, actor and all around creative spirit, Steven has mastered his ability to create compelling songs consistently.

From the opening Any Kind of Fool to the closing Earth Angel, Steven Blane is going to hold your attention, stimulate your senses, and cause you to feel a myriad of emotions ranging from deep reflective thoughts to the more light-hearted, danceable energy of Pink Martini.

Steven is a veteran in the realm of creative endeavors. His entrance into the world of performance and wooing crowds came at an early age when his grandmother put him on a table to perform Delilah at a talent show. This event impacted Steven deeply which eventually led him to leaving his native Jersey City for the Big Apple where he soon took part in a Broadway Show as a guitar playing gypsy.

Although he attempted to leave NYC for Nashville’s songwriting scene, Steven decided 100 miles into the journey to turn back and continue his creative career in NYC. Considering his last album (I Confess) was recorded in Nashville, it’s safe to say Steven finally made his way down to Tennessee for the Music City experience.

On top of his music and acting, Blane has also worked as an audio-book producer and is a Cantor and a Rabbi. He also has an Off-Off Broadway Rock Opera in his portfolio as well as one of his songs being performed on the infamous Star Search.

Now that you’ve been introduced to the guitar, piano and ukulele playing Steven Blane, it’s time for you to dig into the Americana greatness that is The Shed Sessions. In my opinion, it doesn’t get any more organic than jamming your heart out in a shed.

With that said, the album sounds like it was produced in a high class studio so major kudos to the producer as well as the mixing and mastering engineers!

The Shed Sessions are a must add to your music collection, especially for lovers of singer/songwriters, Folk and Americana styles of music.

I can’t choose a favorite song off the album but I really do dig Proclaim Liberty and More Than You (if I were forced to choose a favorite).

The Shed Sessions is available on CD Baby, iTunes and Amazon.
