Prepare Yourself for the Sexy, Distorted Roots Rock of KALO

by Joshua (J.Smo) Smotherman June 22, 2017 9:47 am Tagged With: Blues, blues rock, Rock, roots rock

KALO

KALO have arrived with their newest blues rockin’ single Wild Change.

Distorted guitars, catchy riffage, hard hitting drums and the rough but sexy persona of Israeli born lead female Bat-Or Kalo collide in this tasty, jammin’, roots rock single.

Bat-Or Kalo was raised by a creative and musical family in Israel before venturing to the United States in 2009. Honing her performance chops and gigging around NYC, she left the North in 2012 for the great land of Dixie to immerse herself in the Southern cultures where various forms of the blues have always thrived.

During her journey, Kalo the guitarist became KALO the band with Little Rock native Mack McKinney on bass and Oklahoma City native Mike Alexander taking the throne behind the drums.

In 2015, KALO reached the semifinals of the International Blues Challenge representing the Wichita Blues Society and in 2016, Bat-Or Kalo represented the Topeka Blues Society and made it to the semifinal round of the competition.

You can turn up the volume and jam Wild Change below.

You can connect directly to KALO on the official website, FB, Twitter or IG.
