How To Get Your Music Heard

`The world is changing, especially the music world. It seems every day there is another act on the verge. Every time you log onto the net (does anyone log of anymore?) there is another company telling you why they are the best thing since electricity for promoting your music, and another website clamoring for your membership. Well…..

Don’t Believe the Hype – Create It!

A few things are, for the moment, certain.

  • An unknown band can become a sensation.
  • Becoming a sensation today won’t keep you from being old hat tomorrow.
  • You have to work to succeed.

Where do you start?

  • The very first step (assuming you have mastered the art of making great music) is to make great music. Sounds redundant, but it’s not. Is your music something the public will want to listen to? • Play at least one live show every week, even if that means your are set up in the park with nothing but an acoustic guitar, and hoping “the man” doesn’t come to run you off.
  • Build a website! Having your own donain name shows you are serious. It gives you a place to consolidate all the important aspects of your career. It is also your fall-back position for when things go sour with your free pages elsewhere.

Once you have begun to build a little bit of a following, you will want to take further steps to

Hello! You say that music is changing… and hope it’s true. So far it’s hard to find music that’s positive and just makes us feel better about our(young and older) ‘everydays’… As we travel through life music. Anyway, believe this hype that… 4us has a great ‘New Year In Style’ with their orginal music on the debut cd titled “The Getaway”. It’s a perfect musical accompaniment for this journey!!
